A short explanation of what a Belly Boat actually is.
Still water fly fishing is wonderful, but also on calmer waters river fly fishing from a belly-boat.
A belly-boat is a double-chambered inflatable circle or "U" profile - also called a "U-boat". The boat is always equipped with a harness seat, back support and a number of handles and pockets. The fly fisherman, dressed in neoprene waders and with fins attached to his boots, sits in the boat and moves through the water using just the fins.
The boat is considered a boat by the fishing regulations and can only be used where fishing from a boat is permitted.
